Vermont Gets Litter - Green Up Day 2021 Starts Saturday

Green Up Vermont is held statewide on Saturday and expects over 22,000 participants.

The organization is so excited to have everyone join to be “out and about” to make this spring extra clean. The snowbanks have left a lot of litter as they melted away. It is time to rally as many friends, family members and townspeople as we can to clean up our communities. You know the old saying "many hands make light work" well in this case they certainly do, and they make for a wonderfully clean environment too. Every person who gives a little time to help out makes a huge difference for Vermont. We encourage you to take some before and after photos, send them in to us and tell us about your good work. Green Up Vermont will definitely share it on the website to inspire others to follow your lead. Be safe, have fun, and be sure to report your trash data to your town.
